Shortly after our arrival in Belgrade, my sisters came to visit. We were all lucky that our car made it over here and through customs just in time. While Grant was off at work all day, the three of us girls went around and explored Belgrade, and even took a few trips outside the city to check out churches, monasteries, and the like. One day, we were trying to go to this pretty church we read about in our guidebooks but for some reason the GPS system decided to lead us quite a bit out of the way — an hour or so. Long story short, we ended up in the hometown of one of my FSI language teachers and when we parked to go get some ice cream, we happened to find this gem:
